What is The Difference between grass-fed and grain-fed?
When talking about taste and quality beef animals, you might hear the terms "grass-fed" and "grain-fed", but what do they mean?
Grass-fed animals normally spend all of their days eating grass and hay. Grain-fed or grain-finished beef animals eat mainly grass and hay and then are finished out on grains like corn and barley. The type of food consumed by the animals directly affects the nutritional value of their meat. Color and leanness of the meat can also be dependent on the source of food.
Remember grain-fed and grass-fed are both great, it just depends on your dietary needs and other preferences!
